Musium Kebangkitan Nasional (Museum of National Awakening)

Saturday, what a lovely day. Next week is my last week of working, after that, I can enjoy my summer holiday. Can't wait for it!
As I enjoy the warmth of the sun, I remember about my trip to Indonesian Museum of National Awakening, located in Abdul Rachman Saleh Street, Jakarta. I heard this museum from my friend. I heard it million times but never had a chance to go there, but I finally made it. I did a research about the museum, the location, the artifacts, fees and so on. After I got all the information, then came the real problem "how to get there?" I know and have been to certain landmark around that area before, but I neither never saw nor have been to this place before, for real. I made up my mind and tried to go there by myself, ALONE!!!!...... I finally made it after a long journey. I called it a LONG JOURNEY due to the crazy traffic. The museum itself located next to a NEW building (it's not new actually, but people called it so) of Gatot Subroto Hospital.
In this museum, you can read the history of STOVIA (School Tot Oplending Van Inlandsche Artsen or The school of medical of indigenous people or in Indonesian it means Sekolah kedokteran untuk pribumi). When you enter the museum, the first room on your right is the admission room. You should pay Rp. 2000; for the ticket and you will get a booklet (it is in Indonesian) and brochure (it is in English and Indonesian). In the booklet you can read lots of information such as the historical background, historical events, and movement activities in Indonesia against colonialism. In the right side of the main entrance you can read all the historical information about the development of medical science before and during colonialism, health issues, and the medical artifacts.

In this museum they also have several information about the movement either in education or against colonialism.

The museum is really quite, since they didn't have many visitors at that day. I do enjoy my trip in this museum and took a lot of picture too.

After visiting museum, I went to ASEMKA traditional market or in Indonesian they called it Pasar Pagi Lama ASEMKA. You can find stationaries, accessories, toys, wedding souvenirs, etc in reasonable and affordable price with tight bargain for sure. In this market, when you are going to buy some stuffs you better buy a minimum of three pieces per item, then they will give you cheaper price rather than one piece only. For example, they sell bangles. For one bangle the price is Rp. 40. 000, but if you buy three then it will be  Rp. 100.000. You are saving Rp. 20. 000. I used to visit this market with my friends. We use to share the things that we would like to buy to get cheaper price. Some shops also have fix price.

Greetings

Howdy

I would like to share with you lot of stuffs that I love in this world. As many people do, I do love my life. Our life is a journey. Up and down, happiness and sadness, we feel it. Do we really enjoy our life? well for me, the answer is only YOU and GOD know. "Live your life to the fullest" it's a common quotation that we use to hear. It is a life that we are trying to accomplish. I do enjoy my life to the fullest. It may sound to fancy but trust me sometimes it is not as fancy as you think or not always about fancy stuffs. This is all about point of view and open- mindedness in seeing everything around you. In our journey, we are also trying to pursue our dream and passion. Having a trip to deserted island, get lost with your fellas, having a single trip on your own, being rich in a young age and so on might be one of your dream and passion. Sometimes we are also craving for more, well its your option. I do believe we can always achieve our dream as long as we try. Hard working is always needed.

After all fellas, wish you have a nice tour, Enjoy and Cheers :D
